๐Ÿ“ˆStudent Performance

Automatically compares previous grades to current grades, showing the change, trend direction, and overall performance status for each student.

Why Teachers Need It

A single grade tells you where a student is. Performance tracking tells you where they're going โ€” improving, declining, or stable. This sheet makes trends visible without manual comparison.

Key Benefits

  • Grade Change column shows exact points gained or lost
  • Trend auto-classified as Improving, Declining, or Stable
  • Performance Status combines grade + attendance into one indicator
  • Links to both Gradebook and Attendance Tracker for combined analysis

How It Works

  1. 1Previous Grade and Current Grade pull from the Gradebook sheet.
  2. 2Grade Change = Current Grade - Previous Grade.
  3. 3Trend = Improving if change > 2, Declining if change < -2, otherwise Stable.
  4. 4Performance Status = Needs Intervention if grade < 75 or attendance < 80%.

Example Workflow

โ€œYou notice STU-012's Performance Status shows 'Needs Intervention.' The Grade Change column shows -8.4 points. The Trend says 'Declining.' You know this student needs immediate support โ€” and you didn't have to manually compare report cards to figure it out.โ€

Pro Tips for Teachers

  • โ€ขReview Performance Status weekly during grading periods
  • โ€ขUse the Trend column to identify students who are slipping before they fail
