๐Gradebook
An automated gradebook supporting DepEd's WW/PT/Exam grading structure. Enter raw scores and the sheet calculates weighted percentages, final grades, and remarks automatically.
Why Teachers Need It
Grade calculation is the most error-prone part of teaching admin. This gradebook handles all the math โ weighted percentages for Written Work, Performance Tasks, and Exams โ so you can focus on assessing, not calculating.
Key Benefits
- Supports 5 Written Work slots, 5 Performance Task slots, and 1 Exam
- Max Scores row lets you set different point values per assessment
- WW %, PT %, and Exam % auto-calculated from raw scores
- Final Grade computed using configurable weight percentages from Settings
- Remarks auto-generated: PASSED or FAILED based on passing threshold
- Missing Grades column flags students with incomplete scores
How It Works
- 1Set Max Scores in row 2 (e.g., WW1 out of 20, PT1 out of 50).
- 2Enter each student's raw score for each assessment.
- 3The sheet calculates percentage scores per component (WW%, PT%, Exam%).
- 4Final Grade = (WW% ร WW weight) + (PT% ร PT weight) + (Exam% ร Exam weight).
- 5Weights are configured in the Settings sheet (default: 30% WW, 50% PT, 20% Exam).
- 6Remarks = PASSED if Final Grade โฅ 75, otherwise FAILED.
Example Workflow
โYou finish grading Quiz 1 (out of 20 points). You enter scores for all 35 students. WW% updates for each student. After entering all 5 WW scores, PT scores, and the exam, you check the Final Grade column โ every student's computed grade is ready for report cards.โ
Pro Tips for Teachers
- โขSet Max Scores before entering student scores to avoid divide-by-zero errors
- โขLeave a cell blank if a student was absent โ it shows as 'Missing' automatically
- โขCheck the Settings sheet to confirm your WW/PT/Exam weights match your school's policy
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the grading weights?
Yes. Go to Settings and change the WW, PT, and Exam percentages. The Final Grade recalculates automatically.
What if I have more than 5 Written Works?
You can insert columns between WW5 and the WW% column. Extend the formula to include the new column.
